Utley, Howard Homer Supporting Hamels in Phillies Win
The Phillies scored 3 runs in each of the second and third innings, including third inning homers by 2nd baseman Chase Utley’s 23rd homer and 1st baseman Ryan Howard’s 20th and ace lefthander Cole Hamels pitched well enough for 7 innings to pick up his 8th win as the Phils held Saturday on to beat the Texas Rangers by 8-6 to even their series.
