Kate Hudson is hot (If you hate breasts)

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong had dinner yesterday with Kate’s mom Goldie Hawn which must’ve made Owen Wilson all kinds of jealous. He never got to meet Goldie! This blows. Why is everyone always walking out on him? Fortunately, there’s always good, old reliable heroi- Hey! Mr. Syringe, why’re you putting on your top hat and monocle? “Sorry, Owen, but I think we should see other people.” Awwwww.

Amy Winehouse flips her shit, hops into random car

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

Amy Winehouse should be transported around Hannibal Lecter-style. Last night, while walking to her house with her dad, she decided to flip her chips and run out into traffic. From there, Amy approached a convertible, asked for a lift then crawled all over the body of what looks like a sweet ride. She disappeared for about an hour only to return and run straight into her house. In related news, London crack sales skyrocketed yesterday…

Madonna & Guy Ritchie hold hands in public, that must mean they're in love

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

Madonna and Guy Ritchie went out for dinner last night and were spotted holding hands. Because that looks perfectly natural within the confines of a marriage. Jesus. This couldn’t look anymore staged if they were wearing “His” and “Her’s” T-shirts while paddling a canoe. Heidi and Spencer just looked at these pics and went “Pfft. Amateurs.” Then finished putting on their Uncle Sam and Slutty Betsy Ross outfits. (You know it’s coming.)

Ashlee Simpson steps out with the prego-boobs

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

Ashlee Simpson ventured out in public last night and displayed her expanding mammaries. Somewhere Joe Simpson just tipped backwards in his chair yelling “Yippee!” That said, I’m glad to see Ashlee’s doing well. You know what I hear is awesome for prenatal development? Topless wrestling with your older sister. I’m pretty sure I read that in a book somewhere. Okay, maybe it was more like a couple of piece of papers I made a flipbook out of. Ooh, wait, shut up. This is the part where Batman shows up to referee. “Fight fair,” he says. BOOOOO! KILL THE REF! Preferably with a nipple!

Others think that the manufacturers HAVE to increase their prices because the cost of THEIR raw materials has increased, but this would beg the question, why did THEIR costs increase?

Jimmy Dean - Big Bad John

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

Jimmy Dean (Jimmy Ray Dean August 10, 1928, in Plainview, Texas) is an American country music singer, television host, actor, and businessman. Although he may be best known today as the founder of the Jimmy Dean Food Company, he first rose to fame for his country crossover hits like “Big Bad John,” and for his television appearances.

He became best known for his 1961 recitation song about a heroic miner, “Big Bad John.” Recorded in Nashville, the record went to No.1 on the Billboard pop charts and inspired many imitations and parodies. The song won Dean the 1962 Grammy Award for Best Country & Western Recording. He had several more Top 40 songs including a Top 10 in 1962 with “PT-109″, a song in honor of John F. Kennedy’s heroism in World War II.

In the early 1960s, he hosted the Tonight Show on occasion and one night introduced Roy Clark, with whom he’d remained friendly, to a national audience. His mid-1960s ABC television variety show, The Jimmy Dean Show, was one of the first to regularly present country music entertainers to a mainstream audience, including Roger Miller, George Jones, Charlie Rich, Buck Owens and a few like Joe Maphis, who seldom got any network TV exposure. He’s also remembered for his sketches with one of Jim Henson’s muppets, Rowlf the Dog. Many guests who were not related to country music appeared on the show.

When the show ended in the late 1960s, he began to dabble in acting. His best-known role was that of millionaire Willard Whyte in the 1971 James Bond movie, Diamonds Are Forever. Dean also continued to perform music concerts around the U.S.

Because of the similarities in their names, Jimmy Dean is sometimes confused with actor James Dean (who was also nicknamed “Jimmy”) in song lyric references such as Madonna’s “Vogue” or David Essex’s “Rock On.”
